central location excellent shower comfortable bed
I adored the central location. It was superb. The decor felt thoughtfully crafted. The shower was excellent, and the bed provided comfort! The attention to detail was evident.
The windows seemed like single panes of glass. I could hear cars and people passing by. It made a good night's sleep difficult to achieve.

The direct entry system gave a unique experience! It seemed like I was living in the community. Communication with the owners was good, and they were very responsive to my inquiries.

the polar bear room was spacious. it had a very comfortable bed and a fantastic shower. the communication from the proprietor was flawless!!!

the hand of glory room was beautiful and clean. the bed was very comfortable with attention to detail throughout the décor. the shower was very powerful also. breakfast in the onsite cafe was very nice.

loud street single-pane windows
The room was super clean and super cosy.
The Polar Bear room faced the street. It was loud. I could hear cars and people all night even with the windows closed. I also didn't like that the windows seemed to be single pane, it does not help isolate the sound. I feel that the price of the room with these issues is a bit much.

stylish decor abbey views helpful staff
The hotel was stylish and clean. our st hilda suite offered beautiful abbey views from the window. It was worth the stairs. the staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
the bed in my suite could have been more comfortable. the pillows felt quite firm, more like bricks than pillows at times.

high price hard pillows
The location was great for walking straight into the heart of the city.
The price was a little high because it markets itself as a bed and breakfast, but this is somewhat misleading. I didn't get any discount in the cafe downstairs. The pillows seemed like BRICKS sometimes.

helpful staff detailed email clean room
the staff explained parking well. the email prior to my visit was very detailed, too. the room was beautiful and clean. there were no staff on premises but if i saw someone, they were friendly.
i could hear everyone move about through the walls. i honestly thought someone was in my room at some point.
